you could just put a add comment link on your profile yourself |:

You can add this to your style sheet:

.friendsComments {display:none;}

But it may also hide your Add Comment link. If that's the case, view your homepage source code and search for "Add Comment". Use the %26lt;a href...%26gt;included there as your template to re-add by hand the link somewhere else on your page.
