The only foolproof way to ensure that no one is able to read comments that are left for you is to screen each comment before you allow it to be posted on your page. If you try to use one of the many "mask" codes available on the internet...it can still be viewed by others if they "view source" on the browser. Personally, everytime someone sends me a comment, I am sent an e-mail that allows me to "approve or deny" the comment that someone is trying to leave me. That way I can delete the damn thing before anyone else sees it. That is the most FOOLPROOF way to hide your comments. Otherwise, if someone wants to read your comments badly enough...they can.

Setting your myspace page to private will allow only your friends to see your page...if it is random strangers you are worried about.
